Airelight Luminaires are the first and solitary lighting products to receive an LBC Red List Free Declare label from the ILFI (International Living Future Institute) as part of their Living Building Challenge.

The ILFI’s Declare program promotes transparency in product ingredients, aiming to foster a healthier and more sustainable built environment.

Declare functions like a “nutrition label” for building materials, providing information about a product’s origin, composition, and end-of-life destination.

There are 3 status levels in the Declare program: Declare, LBC Compliant, and LBC Red List Free. The Red List Free designation is the most rigorous, requiring full disclosure of ingredients and ensuring none are included on the Living Building Challenge’s Red List. Learn more here.
